The forest – 2024 update

In 2017, I started planting one tree for every website launched through the Tree Canada Foundation — a small way to give back and help offset the environmental impact of our digital world. The internet might feel invisible, but it has a real footprint, responsible for roughly one billion tonnes of greenhouse gases each year, or about 2% of global emissions.

Through Tree Canada’s National Greening Program, trees are planted across the country, contributing to cleaner air, healthier soil, and stronger ecosystems. Since 1992, Tree Canada has planted over 82 million trees, and I’m proud to support their mission of keeping Canada green — one project at a time.

In 2024, I launched (or re-launched) 16 websites, bringing my total contribution since 2017 to 86 trees planted.
